Pioneer Weekend Competition

FRIDAY, Sept. 26, 2025, HSSC A1231

Join us at 5:30 pm for the kick-off event!

• Ham Serunjogi ’16 will deliver opening remarks at 5:30 pm.
• Chicken fajita dinner catered by El Cascabel.
• Kevin Allen will present on how to pitch your idea.
• Pioneer Weekend guidelines, audience icebreaker, brainstorming of ideas, and team formation.

SATURDAY, Sept. 27, 2025, in HSSC A1231 (multipurpose room in the atrium)

Saturday activities are for participating teams only.

9:00 am – Pastries and juice for teams.

9:00 am – Team registration deadline. Complete this form after team formation on Friday, and before this deadline. Why? So we can organize the mentor sessions today!

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Mentor Sessions (Mandatory for participating teams)

4:00-10:00 pm – Free Work Time.

LUNCH AND DINNER ARE ON YOUR OWN.

SUNDAY, Sept. 28, 2025, in HSSC A1231 (multipurpose room in the atrium)

9:00 am – pastries and juice for teams.

11:00 am – Submit Final Team Pitch Presentations.

LUNCH IS ON YOUR OWN.

1:00 pm – Pitches & Judging, open to campus community. Come cheer on your friends and hear all the team ideas! (refreshments served)

• Pitch presentations (~10 minutes each, subject to change)
• Following pitches there will be a short break for judge deliberations
• Announcement of Winners
