Robert Gehorsam '76

Robert Gehorsam is an experienced senior executive, start-up founder, and advisor to early-stage companies and venture funds in digital media, climate, behavioral health, immersive technologies, online education, and interactive entertainment. Most recently he was a contributing author to the best-selling book, The Carbon Almanac, and is currently developing a similar collaborative book on the future of democracies. Robert was CEO of Image Metrics and co-founder, President and a Director of Forterra Systems. Before that, he held senior positions at Viacom, Sony, Scholastic and Prodigy Services Company. He has also served as Executive Director for an educational non-profit, and has been an advisor to several government agencies in the national security arena. He’s currently the Past President of the college’s Alumni Council and mentors current students and recent graduates. He was a Grinnell College English and Religious Studies major.
